Unbeknownst to the new occupants of the house, Tom has secretly taken up residence in the attic and begins to spy on the family living there. As Tom becomes increasingly fixated on the family, he starts to manipulate their lives from the shadows, all the while hiding his presence from them. The family, consisting of a husband, wife, and their young daughter, begins to experience strange occurrences and unexplained events around the house, leading them to believe that the house may be haunted. As tension mounts and the family's sense of security is shattered, they become increasingly paranoid and fearful. Meanwhile, Tom's mental state continues to deteriorate, and his obsession with the family escalates into dangerous territory. The husband, who is a detective, starts to suspect that there is someone hiding in their house and begins to investigate. As the truth about Tom's presence in the house is revealed, a gripping and suspenseful showdown ensues, leading to a climax that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Hider in the House is a chilling tale of obsession, paranoia, and the terrifying consequences of a disturbed mind.
